Workbooks and Study Materials for Test Takers

Looking for TASC Test Assessing Secondary Completion™ workbooks to help you jumpstart your study process? There is a wide variety of TASC test books available online and in stores, like Barnes & Noble.

However, you don’t want to buy the first TASC test workbook you see. Some materials are more authentic and authoritative than others, so make an informed decision. Buying the right workbook or study material now can help you when it comes time to take the test later.

The most authoritative workbook for the TASC test is the McGraw-Hill Education TASC: The Official Guide to the Test. This offers reviews of all five test topics, and full-length practice sections with complete explanations to help you develop a thorough understanding of the test. This helps you know exactly what to expect on the test. In addition, you get pretests for every subject with this guide.

This workbook is one of the most reliable sources for the TASC test. In fact, the McGraw-Hill TASC test workbook is currently the only guide that has been authorized by the creator’s of the test, McGraw-Hill Education CTB.

McGraw-Hill also offers high school and college prep resources. Though these are not directly related to the TASC test, these resources do include self-help books and subject-specific workbooks that can help you target weak areas. For example, if you know you need help brushing up on your history, consider using a McGraw-Hill Education history workbook to guide you through the most important events.

Many students benefit from using flashcards to study – especially for subjects like science and math. Flashcards can help you quiz yourself and improve your memory.

You can make your own flashcards using the McGraw-Hill TASC workbook. Or, you could purchase flashcards. Companies like Trivium have created flashcards to specifically target the TASC test materials. Though these flashcards aren’t authorized by the test makers, they can be easy to use and efficient.

Online Resources

McGraw-Hill Education has an extensive collection of online resources. From basic information for the test to brochures to subject-specific materials, test takers can find a wide variety of resources and preparation materials. Even the TASC test blog offers detailed posts on high emphasis subtest topics, and posts that provide insights into the test itself.

If you are the type of learner who works well with online materials, then this can be a cost-effective option for you. We highly recommend online materials for students who plan to take on the computer-based test. This way, you can work on your computer comprehension (and typing) skills while you study.

Additionally, online materials work great in conjunction with workbooks. The sample test items, for example, can provide you with extra practice if you’ve already used all the practice items in your workbook.

Remember: McGraw-Hill Education CTB is constantly developing new TASC test materials to support our test takers. Keep your eyes open for new test resources, and if you find something that works well for you, make sure to share it with other test takers on our Facebook page.
