What is the TASC Test Readiness Assessment?
When you decide to step up to the TASC Test Assessing Secondary Completion™ and earn your high school equivalency (HSE), you’ll be opening doors of opportunity and creating a boundless future for you and your family.
Preparing for the TASC test takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and commitment. Since the TASC test assesses comprehension in five different subject areas – reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies – and measures your level of achievement relative to that of other graduating high school seniors, it’s imperative that you utilize all study and prep material available to you.
One of the best ways to prepare for the TASC test is to take the TASC Test Readiness Assessment – a practice test designed to predict how likely you are to passing the actual test.
Available in English and Spanish – and in both paper-and-pencil and computer-based formats – the Readiness Assessment:
- Is structured around the same subject areas found on the actual test: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
- Provides feedback on areas of weakness, allowing examinees to adjust and refocus their efforts as they prepare for the actual test.
- Contains the same type of questions and format found on the actual TASC test, so examinees receive an accurate prediction of their expected performance.
The Readiness Assessment is intended to mirror the actual test and is best administered in a formal setting.
If you’re a TASC test taker, be sure to find out if your local test center offers prep classes and the Readiness Assessment.
