Make 2016 Your TASC Test Year

New Year

The holidays are over, a new year has begun, and we’re excited to hear the goals you’ve set for yourself in 2016.

With a new year comes new beginnings, fresh starts, and endless possibilities. What do you hope to achieve in your life? What is standing in your way of accomplishing these goals?

It is our firm belief that education is the key to a thriving life; education will open doors for you and allow you to pursue courageous dreams.

If you’ve been thinking about earning your high school equivalency (HSE), make studying for and passing the TASC Test Assessing Secondary Completion™ a part of your New Year’s resolution with these simple steps:

  1. Find a TASC test center near you.

Test center administrators can provide insights into the TASC test and help you set short-term and long-term goals. Some test centers also offer TASC test prep classes to help you prepare and remain focused on earning a passing score.

Register to test, view test scores, and find a test center near you.

  1. Plan your schedule.

Don’t let days packed with work and family obligations leave your resolution to obtain your HSE at the bottom of your to-do list. Invest in a planner or a smart phone that will help you navigate your day and accommodate studying into your schedule.

Keeping your daily tasks on a planned schedule may sound daunting, but this habit will help you stay motivated, organized, and prepared. You’ll be surprised at how a little planning and commitment will make you more productive and help you reach your goals.

  1. Make time for yourself, your family, and your friends.

Declaring a New Year’s resolution doesn’t mean you have to change your life entirely. If you have a standing date night with your significant other, a family dinner night, or a few hours you typically set aside each week to spend with friends, stick to these commitments. Taking time for yourself and the ones you care about will allow you to recharge, refocus, and return to your studies with a refreshed mindset.

  1. Look for other TASC test students in your area.

Reaching out to other TASC test takers is a great way to network, provide and receive motivation, create a study group, and become accountability partners. Even if you meet with only one other student once per month, these meetings will allow you to share ideas and review subject areas. Visit our Facebook or Twitter pages to connect with other TASC test takers in your area.

Have additional questions about pursuing the TASC test? Find TASC test information for test takers, get your questions answered by visiting our FAQs page, or speak to a TASC test representative.

From the entire TASC test team, we wish you an abundance of success and happiness in the new year.
